George Franklin Beaver
George Franklin Beaver was born 3-31-1875 and died 5-5-1946 in Eagle City, Blaine Co., Oklahoma. He was the son of William Brooks Beaver and Sarah Kansas (Scott) Beaver. His parents married in 1872 in Vermilion County, IL. George Franklin Beaver married Stella Margarite Westfall, my father Walter Edward Westfall's half sister, the daughter of my grandfather Jasper Mifflin Westfall and his first wife Mary Jane (Shannon) Westfall. Stella Margarite Westfall was born 4-1-1881 near Coyville, Wilson Co., Kansas. She died 3-3-1960 in Eagle City, Blaine Co., Oklahoma.

(2) George and Stella (Westfall) Beaver's son Merle Brooks Beaver was born 1-17-1906, and died 1-13-1960 in Eagle City, Oklahoma. He was unmarried.
(3) George and Stella (Westfall) Beaver's daughter Goldia Pearl Beaver was born 1-21-1908. She died Dec. 10, 2011, at Greenbrier Nursing Center in Enid, Oklahoma. She married Roy Rasmussen born 2-28-1908. He died in Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma 4-30-1948. He was the son of Robert Olin and Mary (Nelson) Rasmussen. He and Goldia had 2 sons-Robert and Stephen. Their son Robert Arlo Rasmussen was born 1-1-1938 and died 10-10-1941 in Watonga, Blaine County, Oklahoma. Their other son Stephen Roy Rasmussen was born 11-1-1940. He married June Ann Mason born 5-30-1940. She is deceased. Stephen and June Ann (Mason) Rasmussen had no children.

Betty Sharpe, chapter 1st vice-president and Debbie Hart, chapter president, attended the party and presented Goldia with a special certificate to recognize her landmark birthday as well as her 45 years in Delta Kappa Gamma. George and Stella (Westfall) Beaver's daughter Goldia Pearl (Beaver) Rasmussen's obituary - A memorial service for Goldia P. Rasmussen, age 103, will be at 10:00 AM Friday, December 16, 2011, at Central Christian Church. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Goldia was born to George Franklin and Stella (Westfall) Beaver on January 21, 1908, in Garden City, Kansas, and died Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Greenbrier Nursing Center in Enid. Goldia attended the University of Oklahoma.
�On December 24, 1931,�she married Roy Rasmussen, and they made their home in Watonga.�After Roy's death in 1948, Goldia returned to college and graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.�She taught school at Thomas for ten years.�Goldia moved to Enid in 1960, where she was a teacher for Enid Public Schools at Waller Junior High.�Goldia was a member of Central Christian Church, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, and Oklahoma Education Association. She is survived by son Stephen Rasmussen and wife Elizabeth, of Tulsa.�Goldia was preceded in death by her husband Roy; son Robert Arlo, three brothers; and one sister. Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church.

She was married to Alva Cogswell born 1-8-1909 in Pretty Prairie, Reno County, Kansas. He died March 1973 in Eldorado, Butler County, Kansas. Alva and Florence Belle (Beaver) Cogswell had one son-Larry Grant Cogswell born 3-17-1941, married Pamela Sue Poole.
Alva Cogswell was a descendant of John Cogswell who sailed to American in 1635. John Cogswell was a son of Edward and Alice Cogswell who lived in Westbury,�Wiltshire, England. Their ancestral Cogswell homestead which Edward and Alice Cogswell built in 1591 still stands in Westbury,�Wiltshire, England. Alva Cogswell's son Larry Cogswell and his wife Pamela (Poole) Cogswell visited the Cogswell Homestead in England in April and May of 2010. Larry Cogswell is a sixteenth generation descendant of John Cogswell who sailed to America in 1635. There is a Welch couple who live at the Cogswell Homestead in England now, and they bought it from a Tom Poole. (Note: Interesting that Larry Cogswell's wife Pamela's maiden name is Poole. The Pooles and Cogswells must have known one another back in England also.)

They had a Mexican�wedding in Chapala, Jalisco,�Mexico, 4-29-2000. They have two boys-Angel Alexander Flores (Cogswell) born 7-7-2001, and Justin Clemente Flores (Cogswell) born 4-4-2004.
(5) George and Stella (Westfall) Beaver's son Everett Gynn Beaver was born 6-20-1912. He married Jessie Irene Barton born 1-17-1912 the daughter of George and Lena (Hastey) Barton. They had one daughter, Paulette Rene Beaver born 3-3-1948. She married Marvin E. Smith. They had a son Richard William Smith born 9-20-1969.
(6) George and Stella (Westfall) Beaver's son Lester Orville Beaver was born 8-30-1914. He died 9-14-1970 in Yakima, Yakima County, Washington. He married Sybil Warren, the daughter of Ora Ring and Louise Warren. They had 3 children-Darrell Ray Beaver, Aloma Beaver, and Lavelle Beaver. Their son Darrell Ray Beaver was born 3-27-1942. He married Constance "Connie" Kay Fishel and they had 2 children-Tammy Lynn Beaver born 4-10-1970, and Leslie Ora Beaver born 10-16-1973. Lester and Sybil's daughter Aloma Louise Beaver was born 3-26-1952. She married David Stubner born 7-29-1852. They had a daughter Heide Louise Stubner born 3-26-1972. Lester and Sybil (Warren) Beaver's daughter Lavelle Beaver was born 2-21-1954.

Henry Moisten Lentz was born 2-22-1885 in Abbeyville, Reno County, Kansas. He died 3-10-1957 in Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas. He was the son of Daniel and Mary (Whittenburg) Lentz. Henry Moisten Lentz married Grace Westfall, my father Walter Edward Westfall's half sister, the daughter of my grandfather Jasper Mifflin Westfall and his first wife Mary Jane (Shannon) Westfall. Grace Westfall was born 8-21-1890 in Reedy, Roane County, West Virginia. She died 9-29-1974 in Kansas.

Charles and Ruby (Lentz) Wilmore had 3 children-Phyllis Allene Wilmore, John Howard Wilmore, and Charles Willis Wilmore Jr.

Ruby Genevieve (Lentz) Wilmore's obituary - Ruby Genevieve (Lentz) Wilmore, 98, of Winchester, passed away April 15, 2010 at the Golden Living Center-Brookview in Indianapolis. She was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on October 18, 1911, the third of six children born to Henry and Grace (Westfall) Lentz.�She married Charles W. Wilmore of Lynn, Indiana in 1930. During the World War II years, she and her three children accompanied her husband as the Army transferred him to several states and returned to Lynn when he went overseas.�After the war she followed him with the two boys to Korea before returning to Lynn.�After the children were grown, they moved to Winchester in 1958.�She was a wonderful mother to her three children and grandmother to nine grandchildren.�
When all the children had grown, she turned her attention to genealogy research.�She first researched her husband's relatives and in 1972 published a genealogy book on the Lesley, Wilmore and Griffin families.�She then turned to her own family and in 1975 published a book on the Westfall and Shannon families.�She then began an in-depth research of the Westfall family which continued until she published Westfall Research in 1985.�She donated copies of her work to libraries throughout the United States.�Copies of her work can be found in the Randolph County Museum and in the Library of Congress in Washington, DC as well as in many other libraries.�She was preceded in death by her five brothers and sisters, by her husband of 66 years, Charles W. Wilmore, her son John H. Wilmore, her son-in-law, Leon Zimmerman, and her grandson, Steven L. Zimmerman.�She leaves to cherish her memory: a daughter, Phyllis Zimmerman of Indianapolis, a son, Charles Wilmore, Jr. of Springfield, Va.: grandchildren, David Zimmerman and Linda Zimmerman of San Francisco, John C. Wilmore of Houston, Texas, Jeff Wilmore and Lucinda Wilmore of Los Angeles, Garry Wilmore of Phoenix, Arizona, Michael Wilmore of Baltimore, Md., and Valerie Burton of Manassas, Va., as well as six great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. Friends and relatives may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester.
